Terms & Conditions

Only holders of valid train tickets may use SeatBadlo. Users must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent
• Hold a valid, confirmed train ticket for the journey
• Verify each other's identity and ticket details before swapping
• Confirm coach and berth assignments match the details provided
• Ensure the destination station is the same for both parties
• Provide accurate and truthful information at all times

Any misrepresentation, fraud, or provision of false information is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension.

All swaps are arranged solely between users at their own risk. SeatBadlo:

• Does not alter, record, or guarantee any change to official reservations in the Passenger Reservation System
• Merely facilitates communication between passengers
• Cannot guarantee the success or completion of any seat swap
• Is not responsible for verifying the authenticity of tickets or user information
• Does not mediate disputes between users

Users assume full responsibility for all risks associated with seat swapping, including but not limited to safety, security, and compliance with railway regulations.

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Resale, transfer, or sale of tickets or berth rights (forbidden under Section 142 of the Railways Act)
• Commercial exploitation of the platform for profit
• Harassment, intimidation, or coercion of other users
• Demanding excessive monetary compensation beyond reasonable limits
• Providing false or misleading information
• Using the platform for any illegal activities
• Attempting to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the app's security
• Creating multiple accounts or fake profiles

Any such activity is at users' own legal risk and may result in account termination and legal action.

SeatBadlo facilitates voluntary incentive arrangements between users but:

• Does not handle, process, or guarantee any monetary transactions
• Is not a party to any financial agreements between users
• Will not mediate payment-related disputes
• Recommends keeping incentives within reasonable limits (₹0 - ₹600)
• Advises users to exercise caution in all financial dealings

To maintain platform quality:

• Users may rate and review each other after completed journeys
• False or malicious reviews are prohibited
• Users reported by three (3) unique passengers may face account suspension
• SeatBadlo reserves the right to investigate reports and take appropriate action
• Persistent violators may be permanently banned from the platform

SeatBadlo provides the service "AS IS" and disclaims all liability for:

• Fines, penalties or legal action arising from unauthorized seat changes
• Delays, missed trains, or losses due to failed or problematic swaps
• Personal injury, theft, or safety incidents during travel
• Any technical, operational or third-party failures of the app
• Loss of data, missed connections, or booking complications
• Actions or conduct of other users on the platform
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages

Our maximum liability, if any, shall not exceed ₹1000 or the amount you paid for premium features, whichever is lower.

Your privacy is important to us:

• Personal information is protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• We implement reasonable security measures to protect user data
• Location data is used only for matching relevant seat swap opportunities
• We do not sell personal information to third parties
• Users may request data deletion subject to legal and operational requirements

SeatBadlo reserves the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice
• Add, remove, or change features and functionality
• Terminate user accounts for violations of these terms
• Refuse service to any user at our discretion
• Update the app and require users to install updates

We may update these terms at any time. Updated terms will be:

• Posted on our website at www.seatbadlo.in/terms
• Made available within the mobile application
• Effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise specified

Continued use of the service after changes signifies acceptance of the updated terms. These terms are governed by Indian law, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
